Massage course Module 3. Day 1

Lower Body; Lower back, hips, buttocks, upper legs

Course Dates; Friday 3rd September 2021

Beginning 9.30am -12 noon lunch 1.30-4.30pm

Most people at some time in their lives will suffer in this region of the body due to many different circumstances so it is a very powerful tool or gift when you are able to release that tension and re-create some flow.

Lower back massage provides substantial healing resulting in pain relief more mobility and improved energy.

We will learn how to;

  • Warm up the muscles

  • Drape the towels

  • Gentle release tension to the surface of the body by simple stretches and holding techniques

  • Find pressure points across the lower back and into the buttocks and hips.

  • Re positioning the body and legs to get into the deeper layers of muscles.

  • Gather some basic anatomy learn about the power of the muscles in the buttocks and how to find and release the sciatic nerve pain.

  • Introducing new techniques where we learn how to start using elbows and knuckles

Working in a give and receive relationship going over the knowledge 2x once whilst receiving and again when giving. This is a fun day - I invite you to bring a long some food for a shared lunch. I will provide teas and coffee and light snacks to keep us going through out the rest of the day.

Massage Course Module 2 Day 2

More in-depth knowledge and techniques specific to the head, neck, shoulder, arms and collar bone.

How to hold and turn the head and position the head to access the neck.

Find the pressure points to release the fascia (soft tissue towards the surface of the body).

Learning the common areas of tension and problems that occur around the shoulder area - where the pressure points are and how to release through applying the right amount of pressure.

Gather some understanding of the anatomy of the general shoulder area.

Learn how to use any props or adjust your person into different positions to access all the muscle groups around the ball of the shoulder.

Upper body; Starting with the Head

Course Dates; June 17th and 18th

Thursday 17th June 7-9pm

Learn the art of Head massage through a give and receive experience.

You will be safely guided through this learning experience - I will demonstrate and then we all will have turns of giving and receiving. This method enables you to feel as you receive and as you give and consume the information simultaneously.

Learn techniques on how to hold the head, movements for releasing tension through the scalp. How to use different parts of your hands and fingers.

Learn specific shiatsu points/or pressure points on the face that can relieve congested the sinuses.

What are the over all benefits of a head massage?

  • Mastering 5 different massage strokes and techniques,

  • Draping the towels

Discussion on how to set up your massage space. Meeting and greeting your massage person, learn how to extract the right information and prepare the person for the table. What equipment you will need for the following day and for your own massage space. What you should be thinking about when setting up your own massage space. Practical guide lines on how to prepare yourself to give a massage.

Reflexology course

Minimum people required to this workshop is 4

Maximum is 10 people.

This is a simple straight forward give and receive practical hands on learning. No previous experience required, its a fun work shop to learn the very basics of a great foot reflexology, routine to follow which will cover the whole foot. this work shop also includes a foot map to take home with you.

It is my intention that you will feel extremely comfortable to give a very good foot massage experience with confidence.

What do you need to bring along ? One bath towel and two hand towels and yourself.

$100 per person - including foot charts and refreshments.
